So... anyone want to go to Dragon*Con? It's Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, GA. Until Feb. 15, registration is $50.
I want to go mostly because Rachel (the awesome violinist) is leaving the Cruxshadows to get married, and that's going to be her last public performance. I want to see it... She's awesome, and while I wish her all the best, it's going to be so sad to see her go.

I think that it's possible that I am WAY happier than I should be on discovering that Stephen Fry is, indeed, a homosexual. >^_^< I mean, I thought so, but I wasn't sure, and I looked it up, and he is! My new years resolution is to stop being a hermit. I will stop assuming that all of my friends hate me for not calling them even though I've been back in Richmond for a year, and at least find out for sure whether they do or not.

It's my birthday today!!!! I'm 21 years old! That's exciting! >^_^<
I went to the Celtic festival with my daddy today, and I got free alcohol, yay! And I bought a claymore, and some candy too. And I ate haggis, which depite what I'd heard about it, is actually quite tasty. AND there was good music. So, candy, weapons, alcohol, meat, music, and several very pretty boys in kilts: 6 out of my 10 favorite things! Yay! It's been a good day.

This has been a good night. I spent most of it on Gaia online, fishing and talking with yaoi fangirls. (Learning to "master our rods." Heh.) >^_^< It was very low-key and fun.

It's been a great weekend so far. >^_^< I got my hair cut on Friday, and I got the new Cruxshadows single, Sophia, which is awesome! >^_^< (Lots of happies)
And today I went to the Richmond Folk Festival. It was free! Yay! >^_^< It was great, too. There were lots of interesting bands, and cool stuff. There was this one band, the Lost Bayou Ramblers, and they were really super. And they have the most sturdy string bass in the world. At one point, the singer/fiddler climbed on the bass. Like, completely on it, on the top and the middle inwards bit. He just stood there and played on top of the bass, which the bass player was still playing. And then later on, after he got off, the bass player himself climbed onto the bass, on the top, and he was just standing on his instrument and playing it, and no one was holding it up. I was impressed. Yay!!!! *bounces*

Okay, it's October 1st, and I had an idea... My birthday is October 29th, and I want fannish presents. So. I'm going to ask people to write me fic (any size, even a drabble), or draw me something, or really, any fandom thing -- make a puppet or whatever and post a picture of it. You've got til November 15th (cuz I like to draw out my birthday...) to post! If you intend to take part, please leave a comment in this post, and a link when you're done. >^_^<
I do not expect something for nothing! For every thing I get, I will write/draw/whatever something in return by, say Christmas (I get longer, because hopefully there will be several people doing this...) I can't promise a novel, but if you get a fic-return, I promise at least a drabble-length...
